Sedation may accompany the placement of dental implants. The process is generally tolerated well with a pain-relieving anesthetic to maintain utmost comfort. However, our relaxing oral sedation may be more appropriate for patients undergoing complex or lengthy dental treatments. It is also ideal for individuals with dental apprehension, anxiety, and fear. 

After meeting with you and reviewing your medical history, Dr. Anderson will determine the best medication to suit your needs. He will also go over how to take the prescribed medication.

Dr. Anderson will also review what to expect following treatment and answer any questions you may have. Since patients may nod off or fall asleep during treatment, oral sedation is associated with lingering drowsiness. So, you must confirm that someone else is picking you up and driving you home after your appointment. As with other sedatives, do not operate heavy machinery (for the same reason you cannot drive a vehicle post-treatment).
